Crush Tackles Juvenile Arthritis Fundraiser

On Saturday, April 2nd, Crush Improv will be hosting their annual fundraiser to help raise awareness and money for CHEO's Rheumatology Clinic. The show will include performances by Crush as well as amazing door prizes and a silent auction.

Many people think that arthritis is something only old people get. Children and teenagers get a type of arthritis called juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), which can be incredibly painful and if not treated properly can lead to permanent joint damage. Currently 1 in 1000 Canadian children, under the age of 16 suffer from this disease and as of yet there is no cure. Over the last several years incredible advancements have been made in treating children with the disease and Crush Improv hopes to help out by raising money to support these efforts.

The show will be at O’Grady’s Outpost, 25 Tapiola Crescent, in the south end of Ottawa, a fantastic Irish Pub and one of Ottawa’s hidden gems. The show will run from 7pm to 9pm and will feature Crush cast, Des Connors-Warmington, Tim Anderson, Kristine Shadid, Al Connors, Dan Lajoie, Jordan Moffat and the musical talents of Glen Gower. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or at the door (last year the event sold out... so you might want to buy your tickets in advance.)

Can't make it but want to help out? No worries! There is a donation option on the Eventbrite page.

All proceeds from the show will go to CHEO's Rheumatology Clinic.
